Within these years as a player he achieved multiple promotions and titles, as well as captaining an undefeated and varsity winning side.

Harry’s coaching journey began in Northampton Saints Hockey club as a young leader, supporting lead coaches at junior training sessions and helping young beginners in the game to learn and enjoy the sport. It wasn’t until University that he took on coaching in a more professional manner, coaching various university sides and club sides whilst gradually increasing the level at which he was operating. Harry is now an FIH level 3 Hockey coach and has coached at the highest level in the English domestic game in the Vitality women’s premier league, and also at one of the highest leagues in University sport in the BUC’s Men’s Hockey premiership South league.

Harry’s philosophy in coaching aligns his desire for success and performance with clear enjoyment and love of the game. The principles he uses when coaching elite players differ to those he use for children within Hockey. He has clear ideas in how he believe the game should be coached and played in the junior game and lots of his coaching follows similar principles to many Dutch club programmes. The underlying aim of all Harry’s coaching is to produce talented and enthusiastic Hockey players that truly love the sport and enjoy playing it in all forms.
